MINISTRY OF ENERGY WARNS AGAINST SOCIAL MEDIA SCAM FOR TENDER No. MOE/EEP/OT/2022-25 FOR THE SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND OFF-LOADING OF E32XV TRICONE BIT
The Ministry of Energy has become aware of a fraudulent activity on social media, where a tender has been advertised for the supply, delivery, and off-loading of R32XV Tricone Bit under the TENDER No. MOE/EEP/OT/2022-25. The Ministry of Energy would like to clarify that it has not advertised any such tender for this item, and therefore any such advertisements on social media platforms are fraudulent and should be ignored.
The Ministry of Energy would like to remind the public that it uses established and reputable channels to advertise its tenders and procurement processes. Any tender or procurement process advertised by the Ministry of Energy will be found on the Ministry’s website www.energy.gov and national newspapers.
The Ministry of Energy takes fraud very seriously and is investigating the fraudulent activity to bring the perpetrators to justice. We urge members of the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity relating to the tendering or procurement process to the Ministry of Energy or the relevant authorities.
It is important that the public is aware of this fraudulent activity and takes steps to protect themselves. We urge all potential bidders and suppliers to verify any tender or procurement process advertised by the Ministry of Energy through official channels before responding.
