Voltalia at Magwero

Voltaria intends to develop between 17.5 MW and 20MW from solar PV near Magwero primary school on the road to the airport. There have been some delays by the IPP due to land issues. However, it is pleasing to note that there has been a tremendous progress on the land issue of late - thanks to Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development. It is expected that the land issue will be completely resolved before end of the year (2018), and this will allow them to proceed and complete the feasibility study which will in the end enable them to firm up the Financial Model and hence conclude PPA negotiations with ESCOM. The power plant is expected to be delivered before end of 2019.
